Shailene Woodley's Big Night at the 2012 Golden Globes
All prettied up for the red carpet festivities, Shailene Woodley turned up for the 69th annual Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles, California on Sunday evening (January 15).
Held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, the adorable young actress trekked through the arrivals area in a lovely Marchesa dress before heading inside for the swanky ceremony.
Speaking about her outfit with WWD, Shailene dished, “When I first put on this gown, I thought, ‘No, I need to find something more casual, this feels too fancy. But all my friends were like, ‘No, Shai, you need to wear a long fancy dress.’ Now that I’m here, I see why.”
A first-time nominee, Woodley was up for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her work in "The Descendants," of which she said, "I'm so excited and grateful to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for this honor, as well as for recognizing the brilliance of both Alexander Payne and George Clooney. Creating The Descendants was such a magical time in my life, and to now be in the company of so many remarkable nominees this year is humbling. This entire journey has been a once in a lifetime experience that I am incredibly thankful for."
Unfortunately, Shailene ended up losing out to Octavia Spencer of "The Help".
